《X重生》是一款大型太空模拟沙盒类游戏，由德国公司Egosoft制作，是X系列的最新作品。本作的宇宙空间将会有史无前例的开放性和复杂度，游戏画面较前作《X3》有质的飞跃，场景、战斗、操控都将得以进化。游戏会以第一人称视角的方式进行。与前作飞船停靠在空间站外单调的界面化操作不同，本作中玩家可坐在驾驶舱内控制飞船降落船坞，直接走出飞船在空间站内部自由活动，进行情报收集、商品交易、接洽任务等。
